Disinformation Diaries
The Disinformation Diaries is an engaging, game-based media literacy tool that demonstrates how disinformation and deepfakes can interfere with democratic elections. In this 10-20 minute interactive experience, players step into the role of Truly B.
Veritas, a candidate who lost an election due to a deepfake and disinformation campaign. Through a series of diary entries, players follow Truly's journey from political defeat to developing strategies for combating disinformation in an upcoming election.
Designed by Election Integrity fellow Ora D. Tanner, this innovative mini-course provides practical education on recognizing and responding to election interference through deepfakes. Upon completion, players receive a shareable certificate demonstrating their media literacy skills. The Disinformation Diaries represents a new approach to disinformation education, using interactive storytelling to build resilience against election manipulation.

Media LitLab broadens and deepens understanding of politically motivated disinformation operations through a comprehensive three-step program.
